RWAS

The “Rwandan Women Association in Sweden” (RWAS) is a vibrant and culturally rich organization that serves as a platform for Rwandan women residing in Sweden. This association aims to celebrate the remarkable achievements in women’s equality and empowerment in both Rwanda and Sweden.

The RWAS organizes various events, such as the “Women in Action” event held in Stockholm, which showcased the progress both nations have made in bridging gender gaps and promoting female leadership across various sectors. These events often commence with warm welcomes from prominent figures, such as the Ambassador of Rwanda in Sweden and the President of the RWAS.

The association also hosts panel discussions on topics like “Bridging Gender Gaps: Insights from Sweden & Africa”, “Elevating Girls in Leadership: From STEM to Business”, and “Healthcare Equity: Pathways to Accessible and Quality Care for All”. These discussions spark engaging conversations and highlight strategies for progress.

In addition to these activities, the RWAS showcases the cultural richness of Rwanda through captivating musical performances and fashion showcases. The association also collaborates with financial institutions from Rwanda, such as the Bank of Kigali and Rwanda Stock Exchange, to highlight the nation’s commitment to gender equality through financial inclusion.
